An app of your own used to mean a developer's quote that often ran to five figures, and an invoice for every change. I build yours from S$3,000. It takes over the CRM, loyalty, WhatsApp, finance or HR tools you pay for now, so you can cancel them, and it runs in your own name. Like buying your own flat instead of paying rent forever.
Custom app development for small businesses in Singapore: cafés and restaurants, salons, clinics, shops and online stores.
On WhatsApp. A list, or screenshots of the billing pages, is enough. I will tell you honestly if switching saves you money.
What a small business with 5 staff and one location typically pays each month for the software your own app would replace. Yours will be different, so send me yours.

Your accounting and GST filing, CPF payroll and card payments at your POS stay where they are. Add your industry's own tools, like booking, stock or queueing, and the saving grows.
Over 3 years: S$16,056 renting these, against S$4,152 to S$5,304 for your own app at the S$3,000 starting price. That is S$10,752 to S$11,904 less, and the gap keeps growing because the build is paid once.
A bigger app costs more to build, which narrows the gap. Your written quote shows the real figure.
A café group's POS provider was shutting down. The staff ran every shift on the old seat map, and the new POS did not have one. So I rebuilt the part they used. When a table fills, every screen in the café shows it, and the map keeps working when the Wi-Fi drops.

The same group kept stock in a separate sheet for each outlet, and nobody could see the whole picture without asking around. Now every outlet updates one app, and the management team sees all five at once, including what each outlet has asked for.

Instead of renting a CRM, I built my own. Every enquiry from this website lands in it, and it tells me who is still waiting for a reply.

More of my work, websites included, is in the case studies.
If you pay for one or two small tools, keep them. Your own app pays off when the list is long, or when no tool fits how you work. If your subscriptions are already fair, I will tell you. And if what you really need is a website that brings you enquiries, that is what the rest of my studio does.
It depends on your list. A typical small business pays a few hundred dollars a month for the tools an app replaces, and the app costs S$32 to S$64 a month. That gap is the "up to S$4,000 a year", after a one-off build from S$3,000. Send me your list and I will tell you if it adds up.
Mine start from S$3,000, quoted in writing and fixed once we agree on what the app does. A developer's quote for a custom app often runs to five figures. After the build, keeping it online costs about S$32 to S$64 a month, paid to those companies directly.
Your app keeps running, because it lives in accounts in your name, not mine. The code sits in your account too, so any developer can pick it up and carry on. You are never stuck waiting for me.
No. I set up every account in your name and show you where each bill comes from. After that you use the app like any other, on your phone or your laptop.
For a small app, usually S$32 to S$64 a month, paid straight to the companies that keep it online. Services it uses, such as messaging, email or AI, bill you at their own rates. I do not add anything on top.
Usually not, and I will not pretend otherwise. Your accounting software files your GST, your payroll provider handles CPF, and your POS takes card payments. The tracking around them, like customers, loyalty, staff leave and cash flow, is what an app of your own replaces.
Most small apps take 2 to 4 weeks from the day we agree on what the app does. The exact timeline goes in your written quote, next to the price, and the price is fixed once we agree on it.
The parts you actually use, yes. That is what I did for a café group whose POS provider was closing: I rebuilt the seat map their staff relied on, not the whole system.
Send them over and I quote each change, from S$80. That includes fixes when a service your app relies on changes something on its side. Anything that goes wrong because of my build, I fix free.
Write down the tools you pay for each month, or screenshot their billing pages, and send them to me on WhatsApp. I will tell you honestly whether switching saves you money.
